De Niro flick to film in Detroit next week
According to the entertainment industry publication Back Stage, a movie starring Robert De Niro and Edward Norton will film in Detroit on May 18.
The tabloid and Web site offer updated production listings as a job searching tool for actors. The film “Stone” was on the docket yesterday with the filming location listed as right here in the Motor City.
Back Stage, May 14: Stone (Drama) Robert De Niro stars as a parole officer who befriends a teaching assistant. Edward Norton is also attached. Written by Angus MacLachlan. Directed by John Curran. Casting: Laura Rosenthal (N.Y.) and Liz Dean (L.A.). Laura Rosenthal Casting, 401 Broadway, Ste. 711, New York, NY 10013. Shoots May 18 in Detroit.
No further information is out about exact locations or who will be involved in the shooting, but if you see one of these big-name screen stars strolling down Woodward next week, you’ll know why.
